Got Her!
Greetings again from HoChiMinh!
It is Sunday Morning here! We arrived back from AnGiang yesterday evening. Well, let's see.....we went for a visit on Wednesday at 3:00pm.
The first families were right! The lane you had to manuever to arrive at the Center was a bit scenic. upon arrival we met the nannies and saw the kiddos! Micaela, was not a bit Happy to see Mama,Jade, and Uncle Michael. But, within 30 minutes tolerated us to hold her. My girl has a good set of LUNGS! What a BRAVO! We stayed about 2 hours and then returned to the Hotel. We were told that our GNR was postponed from Friday to Saturday because a family would not be arriving until Friday. Turned out to be good for us. We went to the Center at 8:00am and staryed around 3hours. Micaela was a doll. She allowed Jade to walk in and pick her up. She was a lot calmer today. We left went to the hotel, had lunch, and went back to the center at 3:00pm when the family from New York arrived. This process helped Micaela. We left and were told that our GNR would be on Saturday at 9:00am.
We took clothes for Micaela, changed her, and then went by bus to the Provincial Offices. Again, today she was not a happy camper! Good thing Terrence and Becky, and Carl and Julie were sports! They had to listen to Micaela let her frustration show! But, she again calmed down, rested and by the time we stopped on the way back to HCMC she allowed mom to give her bits of lunch. Between mom and Jade holding and comforting her she had an opportunity to rest. She began to give and sustain eye contact and slept on the remainder of the trip back.
Since, arrival she has been a TROOPER! Oh, by the way....She is one heavy little girl! The size 18months I took will not be fitting her for too long! We are esconced back at the REX and resting on Sunday. The REX is nice! The streets are crazy! The girl is in our Hearts! Right now she is asleep on the floor after playing with her toys. The girl has bonded! yea! for us. We went to the Tax Center to get some goodies and went in an elevator. A lady backed into Micaela and she just reached out and shoved the ladies' arm away from her. The amount of humanity here is mind boggling! So, today we will just relax and be ready for the next step on Monday. We will be in HCMC through New Years! That ought to be really interesting! We will leave for Hanoi on Wednesday. Oh, for those of you who use artificial sweetner. Bring some! Everything else you can easily find here.
Now to our fellow An Giang families! Heidi, Dawn, and Carla your kiddos are doing great, growing, and happy babies! I will be sending Jynger pics of your babies to forward on to you guys. Lily, is growing, alert, and enjoyed being held. Jade loved holding her and loving on her! I held her and spoke with her and she was all ears. She was taking it all in. Claire is such a happy and gentle baby. She loves to be tickled and has the most beautiful smile! She is a delightful little girl can't wait to see them home with you guys! And of course Ha! He is something else. He is all boy! He was tooling around visiting everyone and interacting with everybody. He is a little doll! The nannies are all very caring and dote on our kids! You will be soooo....happy! We had ample time to visit and play and dote on them all.
And our family! We miss you guys! Micaela has the Bravo feisty personality! Hmmm....there is a gentle reminder of our Liz. I could have seen her, Jade, and I playing frogger trying to cross the streets here! And, I could hear her remarks about it too! I know she is laughing at me and Jade trying to hold it together! Michael has been a great uncle! Navigating and bargaining and corralling everyone. I am so glad he was able to come. He gives us a big sense of security!
Leigh, I hope things are going well in Hanoi! I was so glad to see you that morning in HCMC when we were leaving! Dori Grace is Beautiful! Such a tiny, gorgeous girl! Here's sending you a Big Hug and tons of Well Wishes! Would have enjoyed bumming around with you!
Til Later that is all for now!
