We have accomplished the last step in the process! We had our VISA interview, paid the fee, and should be able to pick up Micaela's passport/VISA tomorrow at 4:30.......Now, we just need to schedule a flight HOME!
After the interview we had dinner with the McGowans and the Clines. We went to the Training school restaurant to celebrate! Jade and Michael thought they remembered the way but lo and behold we got lost and had to break out the map. Terrence took over the navigation for the group. So, we ended up on the scenic tour. Dinner was very enjoyable but we all cannot believe we are through! With others still waiting for their I-600 approvals and where we are it all seems surreal.
The McGowans have a flight out tomorrow evening and the Clines leave Wednesday morning! I am still trying to get a hold of Eric to change our flight out of Hanoi! By the end of the 2 week mark you really are ready to go home. Too much sensory overload here for us. Traffic, culture, bargaining, navigating the streets, and just trying to accomplish the things you need to do can be quite stressful....But, in the big scheme of things we have what we came for! A big, healthy, chubette named Micaela!
Put it into perspecitive and everything else is just an adventure! Hope to be home soon!!!!!
Bummer! Just got an email from Erick Kim saying he cannot do anything for us to get home sooner than the 16th! Sent him another email asking him to try again! Aunt Sandy call him too maybe if he gets a few calls he might be able to finagle something! I am touristed out!
